Legislative Sessions

Each year I offer an annual summary of highlights from the legislative session. See below to dive into our past few years of work.

2025 Legislative Session

The 2025 Legislative Session came to a close in mid-June after a grueling extended session dedicated to passing K-12 education transformation legislation. See the highlights of the year.

2024 Legislative Session

The 2024 Legislative Session came to a close after a difficult few months trying to tackle several substantial statewide challenges, including school funding, housing, public safety, and flood recovery, and doing so with less money. While there is always more work to do, we did accomplish quite a bit.

2023 Legislative Session

The 2023 Legislative Session was a closely-watched, incredibly productive session in which we passed historic legislation to support Vermont’s families and childcare system, build and renovate housing in towns throughout the state, advance climate & environmental preservation programs, protect reproductive and gender-affirming healthcare, reduce the harm of the opioid epidemic, and improve gun safety & suicide prevention efforts.

2022 Legislative Session

The 2022 Legislative Session was monumental. We passed historic legislation, including an $8.3 billion state budget, that will have a transformational impact on every sector, region, and community in Vermont.
