It’s been an honor to represent you in the VT Senate over the past six years. I have done my best to show up, keep my commitments, communicate regularly, and work to pass policies that matter to you most. I have been a champion for reproductive justice, sustainable public schools, affordable health care, quality childcare, climate & environmental protections, accessible housing, gun safety, fair taxation, accountable government, and so much more.
In the six years as your senator, I’m most proud of how I show up for constituents. Like Bryan Plant in Bristol whom I met when he testified about the state’s emergency housing program. Since then, Bryan and I have talked multiple times about housing, Medicaid, broadband, and mental health. Bryan wrote a letter to the editor about me, which tells the story of our conversations. He says, “[Senator Hardy is] legitimately authentic, engaged, and remembered details I would have assumed were easily forgotten.” Read the whole letter because Bryan tells the story so well!
I ask for your vote on Tuesday so I can continue this important work for my constituents, with empathy, authenticity, and engagement. No other candidate in the race communicates and shows up for her constituents like I do.
