Vote for the Leaders You Deserve

Tomorrow is Election Day. If you have already voted, thank you! If you are waiting for the big day, I get it. Election Day is a celebration of democracy and it’s meaningful to mark the day by voting in person with other citizens. You can find information about voting logistics in the Secretary of State’s Vermont Voter Guide. Thank you for being a voter early or on Election Day!

I hope I have earned your vote. For the past eight years, I have represented the people of the Addison District with skill, transparency, and heart. I have tried to be the leader you deserve.

Skill. Making good public policy requires the ability to understand the complexities of a problem, the effort to research & listen, and the respect to build a coalition of supporters. I have been a leader on numerous policy issues during my time in the Senate, including:

  • Making childcare more affordable for thousands of working families
  • Protecting your reproductive liberty & expanding access to health care
  • Reducing taxes for thousands of Vermonters through multiple tax reform packages
  • Spearheading an education reform compromise that protects local democracy & reduces costs
  • Creating access to rural broadband & championing public libraries

For more information about my public policy leadership record, see the Legislation tab on my website.

Transparency. I am accessible. I respond to emails, write editorials, and attend forums to hear from constituents and answer questions. Over the past eight years, I have also written over 200 legislative updates to my constituents, explaining the work I am doing in the State House, providing information about government or community resources, and celebrating events and organizations in the Addison District.

You can find all of my constituent newsletters on the Updates tab on my website.

Heart. I truly care about my constituents and want to do what I can to make your lives better and our government work for you. I listen to your concerns and show up where I’m needed most. I am your advocate too, writing legislation on your behalf, convening meetings to make your voice heard, and holding others accountable when needed. I work for my constituents year round, in Montpelier and at home.

I am committed to being here for you. Read more on the Commitments tab on my website.

Now it is time to vote. Please share this post and talk with others about why you are voting for me. Thank you for being a voter and for your support.
