Happy Labor Day! As fall approaches in an election year, the changing of the leaves is matched by the blooming of yard signs and the ringing of phones! Even though this is an unusual campaign season, without community events or door-to-door canvassing, the fall foliage, yard signs, and campaign phone calls will remind us of “normal times” and this year’s important election. We do have two viable Republican opponents, who you can read about in last week’s Addison Independent, so it’s really important to get out the vote!
If you would like to be part of the campaign, please fill out this form to request a yard sign or volunteer to make campaign phone calls. Due to COVID-19, we will deliver and install a sign at your home (if you live on a high-traffic road) without any “contact” necessary. If you still have a sign from 2018, please fill out the form so we can track where signs are distributed throughout the district. Our goal is to have all signs displayed by the time ballots start arriving in mailboxes on September 22. If you would also like a campaign bumper sticker to display on your vehicle, please reply to this email with a mailing address and we can mail one to you.
All phone calling will be done remotely from the comfort of your home. After you sign up, we’ll be in touch with details about training, remote phone-banking parties, and making calls on your own time. Direct contact with voters is the most effective way to ensure people vote. Finally, while we don’t have to raise nearly as much money as we did in 2018, we will have to cover expenses for printing mail pieces, postage, newspaper ads, and some mileage. A small contribution of $20 for 2020 would be very helpful and greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support. Stay safe and well.
