Peak Foliage, Peak Campaigning

It’s October and the foliage is amazing! And, there’s less than a month until Election Day on November 8th. Here are four things you can do to help us elect strong Democratic candidates and pass two important constitutional amendments in Vermont:

1) VOTE! Ballots have been mailed to all active, registered voters. If you’ve received your ballot, you can vote now and return it in-person at your town clerk’s office, at your local ballot drop-box, or put it in the mail. If you didn’t receive a ballot, you can request one and/or register to vote online or in person at your town clerk’s office. Remind your friends and colleagues to vote too!

2) Join me at an event to support Democratic candidates. Meet the Democratic nominee for Secretary of State, Sarah Copeland Hanzas this Friday, October 14 at 5:00 at the Unitarian Church in Middlebury (RSVP here). Support the Addison County Democrats at our Fall Fundraiser & Celebration in Weybridge on Thursday, October 20th.

3) Rally and Vote for Reproductive Liberty. Vote “yes” for Proposal 5/Article 22, an amendment to the Vermont Constitution to ensure personal reproductive autonomy. Read more about this important amendment here. Join the Addison County & Middlebury College Democrats for a rally in support of Article 22 on Sunday, October 23 at 1:00pm in Triangle Park in downtown Middlebury.

4) Support my re-election to the Vermont Senate. Vote to re-elect me as your Vermont State Senator. If you have a Ruth yard sign in your barn, garage, basement, or shed, please put it out. If you live in a high traffic area and would like a sign, let me know and we’ll bring one by. Make a contribution to my campaign to help cover campaign expenses. Thank you for your support!

As we fight to preserve our democracy, recover from the pandemic, mitigate climate change, and advance human rights, this election could not be more important. Thanks for doing your part.
