It’s time to vote. After months of campaigning, talking with voters at their doors, at events, and all around our community, the final result come down to you. If you haven’t already cast your ballot, make a plan to do so tomorrow, Tuesday, November 8th, in person at your local polling place, open in most towns from 7:00am to 7:00pm. Bring some friends or neighbors to vote too, and if they’re not registered to vote, they can register and vote tomorrow at the polls, including Middlebury College students. Check out the Secretary of State’s website for information on voting. There is so much at stake on Election Day and we want to make sure that Vermonters voices are heard loud and clear. We need to resoundingly defeat right-wing candidates who are a threat to our democracy, public health, and climate; pass constitutional amendments enshrining reproductive liberty and finally outlawing slavery in the Vermont Constitution; send Vermont’s first woman to Congress; and elect strong Democratic candidates up and down the ballot. You can do all of this when you vote! I will be making the rounds to many polling places, starting bright and early in Huntington and ending the day in Middlebury. The Addison County Democrats will be hosting an Election Night Watch Party at the Marquis Theater in Middlebury – RSVP here if you’d like to join us. Thank you for your vote and your support. It’s been an honor representing you in Montpelier over the past four years. I look forward to another term of working hard for you! |
