Vermont at the Midterm Moment

Please join me, Congresswoman Becca Balint, Secretary of State Sarah Copeland Hanzas, and Attorney General Charity Clark at 10:30am this Saturday, September 19, at the Town Hall Theater in Middlebury for a free, youth-organized event, Vermont at the Midterm Moment. I will moderate a conversation with these statewide leaders about where things stand with our democracy, human rights, economy, communities, and government at these crucial mid-term elections, Questions from local youth and general audience members will follow. 

The event grew out of a youth social justice camp held this past summer at the Teen Center because young folks are eager to engage with the leaders who represent them in Montpelier and Washington. It’s also a bit of a follow-up to a community forum I hosted in Spring 2025 about the impact of federal actions in Vermont. No matter your age, please join us for an engaging conversation and a chance to ask questions and interact with state leaders who are working hard on your behalf. The event is free and registration is appreciated.

After the morning event and a short break, you can stay for a 12:30pm forum, moderated by a local youth leader, with the candidates for Lieutenant Governor – Molly Gray and John Rodgers.
